Fisherman quilt

This is from a kit that I bought when we were in Alaska a couple of years ago and then evidently lost in my sewing room.  Due to the disaster in there this winter, I have been having to go through a lot of things and found it again.  After it was made, not being able to leave well enough alone, I put a clear bead on the fly that he is casting with and then decided that with clear beads on the tips of the trees that it would look like it had just rained.  Then I found this string of fish.  Now I'm done.

Mother's Day

A few photos from Mother's Day last Sunday.  The first ones were taken at the Larkspur where the mothers and daughters went for lunch.  Fathers and sons had KFC at home.  The rest were taken when we got back to the house.  Jocelyn really liked this muffin.  The Larkspur is where Bonnie, Aliza, Jocelyn and I went for lunch last year.  Kim and Gail joined us this year and it was really nice.

Jocelyn on Friday before we got her hair combed.  She was so good and so much fun.

Aliza's first communion on Saturday, waiting to go into the sanctuary, with her godparents Bobbi and Jim, with her parents, and reading aloud from a card with one of her gifts at lunch at Broadway Pizza.  It was a very nice service and a nice day.  The kids were all so cute.
