The picture doesn't do it justice.  It's really beautiful right now.  I especially like the little yellow flowers in the grass.                                                                               

library wall hanging

We met yesterday with Larry, the librarian and John Ingebritson who is going to design the FOL wall hanging.  Everything was very positive.  John sketched out a wonderful design with a tree, hills in the background, a fence along side of the tree and also a path and river.  He even added a birdhouse.  We discussed general questions about it and then Larry showed us some places he had in mind for hanging it in the library.  The one I chose is one that I would never have hoped for or asked for, but he offered it, so I'm taking it.  It is upstairs on a large wall that can be seen clearly from downstairs.  There are paintings there now but they are going to move them to other walls.  I can't wait to get started.

This is the photo I sent to the Journal for National Pet Week.  It costs $15 to have your pet's picture in there, but part of that goes to the Humane Society.             

Fallon Friends of the Library

I went to the library here with Rebecca and saw this on the wall.  I asked for permission to take pictures and will see if they want one similar in New Ulm.  I thought it was really neat.

I've been here since Thursday.  Billie Dean's funeral was Friday.  It's a very sad occasion and there won't be another like her.  But it has been great to visit with cousins.  Jane left Friday afternoon, Ann leaves today and Karen and I leave Tuesday.  Here are a few pictures of the cemetery and family.  They are (1) Jane and Eric, (2) Rebecca and Paul, (3) Eric, Alex, Debi, Keri, (4) Karen and Laura, (5) some of the above plus Richard Allen, and (6) one view of the cemetery.
