My first Beaded Journal Project block - for January.  I'm going to do a different tree each month.  This one is supposed to look like a winter tree with bare branches and snow.   Don't know why it's a little blurry.

mystery quilt done

It's finally done with beaded embellishments and all.  Mike is holding it up for me to photograph and this is a close-up of one of the focus blocks.                            

the fab four

Bonnie sent these 8x10s of the kids and Mike got a frame to put all of them in together and it is on the wall by the dining room table.  I had to take a lot of shots before I was able to get one without glare.  Aren't they cute?                                                                               

Wall hanging

We just put this up on the wall in our bedroom in Galveston.  I bought the pattern in the quilt shop in Rockport several years ago.  It is machine pieced but hand embroidered, hand appliqued and hand quilted.  I put it together and then saved it to quilt while I was sitting around with my foot elevated after my surgery.  It's also hand beaded.  The beads are on there sort of randomly.

Mike's clock

Mike has been looking at this clock in one of the nicer gift stores on the Strand for several years.  It had always been priced at $450, which was kind of high.  We were on the Strand yesterday and he decided to go in and look at "his" clock again and it was marked down 50% so now it is his.  It looks very nice in the living room.                                                                     

Christmas 2010

A few pictures from Christmas.  Zach isn't in one, he doesn't get into it yet, but AJ sure did get into opening presents.  And, of course, the girls had a good time.  Aliza got her American Girl doll.  Jocelyn was content to open a present and just enjoy it.  She had to be talked into opening others.  Next year will be different.
